Enjoy a relaxing stay at Hop Brook Bed & Breakfast provides a welcoming place to relax and enjoy the Amherst area. You will have your own suite with sleeping and living area, and a private entry and bathroom. The room is outfitted with cable TV, DVD, free wifi, and air conditioning. We are located in one of Amherst’s finest neighborhoods, conveniently located with easy access to downtown Amherst, Amherst College, Hampshire College and the University of Massachusetts. A nearby walk connects you to the Norwottuck Rail Trail well loved for walking and biking. Guests can enjoy the landscaped yard with gardens blooming spring through fall. A healthy and delicious breakfast is served in the eating area in the suite. A refrigerator is provided for your snacks and beverages. Your host is Connie Kruger. Unlike you. Who got up in the middle of the night to wait for them, guiding them to safety with flashlights, providing them with shelter. They had just about decided that they would be spending the night in the car parked in a parking lot somewhere. However, instead of what could have been a nightmare, they got to spend the night in a cozy room aglow in candlelight, sheltered in a warm bed and provided with extra blankets. "Connie–What can I say to fully express my appreciation for opening your establishment in the middle of the night to take in my daughter and her husband during the height of the October Nor 'easter/blizzard? They called me several times in two hours saying how bad it was, that streets were closed with downed trees and power lines. They had called many hotels but no one could take them since the electricity was out and the hotels had no way of knowing which rooms were taken and which were empty. So they all just said no.
